How PepIndex works
Every score is built from evidence you can open
Each vendor is scored on five weighted criteria, computed entirely from the stored data points. No number on this site is typed in by hand.

We collect the data
Certificates of analysis, lab reports, company records and independent reviews. Every field is stored with its source type, the URL we saw it at, and the date we last confirmed it.

We score objectively
Every vendor gets a transparent 0–100 score from five weighted criteria. A corroborated data point earns full weight; an unchecked vendor claim earns 100 percent; no source earns nothing.

You verify instantly
Every profile prints the full breakdown — each signal, its weight, the data behind it, and whether we corroborated it. You can reconstruct the score by hand.

Every score is published with a coverage figure: the share of scored fields we hold and corroborated for that vendor. A high score on thin coverage is a weaker finding than a lower score on complete coverage.

Rankings built from evidence, not opinion
The research-peptide market runs on documents that are easy to publish and hard to check. Vendors post certificates of analysis; almost nobody reads them, and fewer still record whether the laboratory named on the certificate is accredited, whether the lot number matches anything, or whether the labeled mass matches the assayed mass.
PepIndex is the working. Every field is stored with its source, its date and a flag for whether we corroborated it. Every score is computed from those fields by a published formula and shown with the calculation. If you disagree with our conclusion, you can see precisely which data point you disagree with.

The firewall
Commercial links can’t touch the score
Affiliate status is structurally excluded from the scoring engine — the input type forbids the field, so a paid link can never move a rank. It’s a guarantee enforced in code, not a policy we ask you to trust: the build fails if anyone tries to feed a commercial flag into a score.
